Service Manager

Benelux

Are you someone who not only performs technical service well, but also organizes it better? Do you derive satisfaction from colleagues who grow and from processes that work well? And would you rather stand alongside your team than above it?

This is a new position at Dalton Medical. Doctors and clinics rely on the systems we supply every day, and our service team is growing along with the number of systems we have installed in the Benelux. That is why we are looking for a Service Manager who will take our service organization to the next level, together with the team. You will work with high-quality medical and aesthetic equipment, such as laser, IPL, RF, and cooling systems from international brands like Candela, Fotona, Lasering, Zimmer, and DermapenWorld.

Experience with medical equipment is a plus, but not a requirement. Do you have experience in the technical service of complex equipment, and do you get energy from making others better? Then we will help you with the rest.

Working at Dalton Medical

Dalton Medical is an established name in the medical and aesthetic industry in the Benelux. We work with leading international brands and support clinics, hospitals, and other professionals with technology, technical service, training, and knowledge.

You will join a growing team where quality, expertise, and accessibility
take center stage and keep lines of communication short and personal. As a Service Manager, you are the connecting link between the service team, our customers, and our manufacturers. You are not alone in this: you work closely with internal staff, sales, and clinical colleagues, and you can rely on the technical specialists from our manufacturers.

What are you going to do?
  • You guide and support the field service engineers and service coordination, enabling them to perform their work effectively and independently. From recruitment and onboarding to performance reviews, coaching, and development.
  • Together with service coordination, you ensure smart planning of installations, preventive maintenance, and breakdowns.
  • You are the point of contact for clinics regarding complex technical questions and escalations.
  • You maintain the technical relationship with our manufacturers regarding training, certification, parts, RMAs, and field safety notices.
  • You monitor the quality of service records, traceability, and complaint handling in accordance with the MDR obligations applicable to a distributor.
  • You maintain an overview of the parts inventory and ensure that the right parts are available at the right time.
  • You manage based on KPIs such as first-time-fix, response time, uptime, customer satisfaction, and service contract revenue, and you improve processes together with the team.
  • You are responsible for service contracts and pricing policy, and you pass on opportunities for upgrades and replacements to sales colleagues.
  • You pitch in yourself as well: during a difficult malfunction or a busy week, you roll up your sleeves.
  • You contribute ideas for modern, smart solutions to further improve the service and organization.
Who are we looking for?
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in the technical service of medical or other high-value equipment, such as laboratory equipment, industrial machinery, or high-tech systems.
  • You have experience managing a team and serve as the go-to technical expert within that team.
  • You have a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level in electrical engineering, mechatronics, medical technology, or a similar field.
  • You manage based on trust and clear agreements, not control, and you involve your team in improvements.
  • You are customer- and solution-oriented: you do not look for who caused the problem, but for how it is solved.
  • You remain calm and customer-oriented, even under pressure.
  • Knowledge of lasers or energy-based devices is a plus.
  • You speak and write Dutch and English well, have a B driving licence, and enjoy travelling within the Benelux.
What we offer
  • A salary between €5.500 and €7.000 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.
  • A new role in which you further build the service organization together with the team and the management.
  • An extensive onboarding period including training at our international manufacturers.
  • A company car, laptop, phone, and good employment conditions.
  • An informal, committed team with direct lines of communication to the management.
